Parallel to her architectural career Ángela’s interest in film led her to the lighting industry. She has experience in architectural lighting working for various Lighting consultancies in Sydney including Electrolight Sydney and Lighting Design Partnership. Ángela has been part of lighting teams in different movies and short-films, both in Europe and Australia. She also has experience in theatre lighting. Currently, Ángela is a Lighting Designer at Lend Lease Design. Her role involves working on projects across workplace, residential, industrial, education, retail, hospitality and mixed-use sectors to provide cutting-edge architectural lighting solutions. Ángela is building her skills as an emerging lighting designer to be able to deliver best- practice lighting designs based on technical knowledge adding a touch of imagination in order to create the best environments. firstname.lastname@example.org MIRJAM ROOS Originally from Germany and with a background in interior architecture, Mirjam has worked as a Lighting Designer for Steensen Varming in Australia since 2005 and lived in Sydney for most of this period. With her background, Mirjam integrates a thorough understanding of both lighting and architecture into her work. Her experience ranges across a wide spectrum of challenging and complex projects; amongst many of the projects she played a key role are the 2010 IALD Lighting Award winning National Portrait Gallery, 2011 IES Lighting Design Excellence Award winning Australian War Memorial Hall of Valour as well as iconic projects the Sydney Opera House (various projects), Auckland Art Gallery and Brisbane Supreme Court, which was awarded IES Lighting Design Award of Excellence in 2012 and 2013.
